I’ve gotten myself a new addiction; The Sims 2! I know, I know, I am sounding even more like a geek then I did when asking for Ultraman 2 (The Adventures of Ultraman), which I still hav not found.
The Sims 2 is so much more awesome then The Sims. The Sims will have a very special place in my heart, but the Sims 2 is delicious; if I could eat it I would. Much more fluid and a lot more options then The Sims. It’s my new favorite game.
Also met my former neighbor since a very long while. It was good chatting with her, felt like the old days. She was, and still is, like a second mom to me. I hope we’ll continue to have more contact and more visits.
Oh, and I just found some more and better explanations about the questions on HSP (High Sensitive Person):
22 Signs That You’re a Highly Sensitive Person
1. Can you hear things others cannot, especially high-pitched sounds?
I hate the hum of the light fixture, it is my enemy. I need complete silence to be able to sleep, no whirring or humming near me please. An automatic response to the a siren is to duck from the noise, though I managed over the years to not make it so obvious that it bothers me seeing as I did not want to go through life as ‘the girl that ducks from loud noise’.
Oh yeah, and once I heard a beeping sound during live radio. I contacted the DJ, she said the only thing beeping was the CD player – in the OTHER room
2. Do you notice smells that others miss?
Dude, I have a knack of smelling everything from chlorine bleach to fireplace three doors away when it is not even on.
3. Do you know what other people need before they ask?
This post, Intuition or Observation & Analysis, provides a great example of this.
Yup, check the link above
4. Do you notice the flicker on older computer screens or older fluorescent fixtures?
Does anyone know how annoying that is?
5. Do you get “overwhelmed” by joy when you experience great beauty: A beautiful sunset, an incredible musical performance, the smile of your child?
That is what I use my photography for. So I can capture the great feeling.
6. Do you feel threatened or uneasy in large crowds or big cities?
The one thing I absolutely can not do is be in big crowds or big cities. It is all to overwhelming
7. Do you have “emotional radar” that picks up on what others are feeling?
Heck yeah, happened more then once.
8. Do you pick up physical symptoms from other people?
Thankfully that is not one of the things I have. I’d probably never be able to leave the house if that was the case.
9. Does reading or hearing about bad news have a dramatic impact on your mood?
My mood is very much so impacted by the news. That is why I tend to only read good news or end with good news.
10. If you see a bad car accident does it affect you for the entire day?
11. Have you been diagnosed with SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and/or do you experience a noticeable drop in your energy and mood during the winter?
12. Have you ever had a transcendent or mystical experience?
Yes
13. Do you have a strong reaction when you drink caffeine or when you attempt to stop?
The las time I had caffeine I jumped to the ceiling, haven’t had any since.
14. Do you have food sensitivities or allergies?
Not that I am aware of, no
15. Do you have allergies or asthma?
The only allergy I have is to some antibiotics
16. Are you a “lightweight?â€
I don’t drink, some, or do drugs. The couple times I did drink it was only a glass or two.
17. Are you sensitive to over-the-counter, prescribed or illegal drugs?
Not that I am aware of
18. If you have ever had surgery, did it take longer to recover from the effects of the anesthesia than from the surgery itself?
For many sensitive people anesthesia can have a long-lasting and powerful effect. Anesthesia impacts not only the physical body but also the energy body by putting you into a completely unnatural state. It’s a neither here nor there state that can wreak havoc on a sensitive person’s system.
19. Is being in a calm, peaceful environment very important for you?
Heck yeah it is
20. Do you get claustrophobic when you spend too much time indoors?
Actually no, I can stay indoors for quite some time.
21. Is it important for you to spend time alone?
Absolutely I’m better off alone.
22. Do you experience dramatic mood swings, sometimes for no apparent reason?
Yup, totally
