It has not been my week; it all started Sunday when I was finishing up the overhaul of my room. I changed things around and bought a little closet thingy (made of a a frame and a cover) to place my shoes in and the clothes I wear most. I made a tiny little corner for the tv and couch and it just all looks so much better (imho). But then it happened; I was cleaning under the big closest and taking some boxes and other stuff out from under it and something got my hand when I pulled it back.

The web between the thumb and index finger. At first I thought nothing of it, because I usually scrape hit or do something to my hands while cleaning, but then I saw a droplet of blood and looked at my hand and noticed that it was actually deep enough that it needed a ‘just in case’ hospital visit.

Little Cut, Big Pain

Little Cut, Big Pain

That wasn’t fun, at all. I went to the hospital and had it checked out. Doctor said that it wasn’t deep enough for stitches and that they were either going to ‘glue’ it together or put one of those little strips on it, and of course it ended up to be strips. They also gave me a Tetanus shot, which didn’t hurt until two days after it all happened.

All was well, until this morning; somewhere along the night the strips had come off and the wound was open yet again. I called the hospital and asked what to do and they told me they “Couldn’t close it up again” and that I “should keep it clean and covered with gauze” and come back for my check up appointment the following Monday.

So right now I’m right off where I started, save for the lucky fact that it is not bleeding. Not only that, it is a very awkward spot and will probably take a while to completely heal.

Ouch! That looks like a damn nasty painful cut! Even if it is just small, it can hurt a lot!
