Movies I’ve seen, some that sucked
It has been a while since I have blogged about movies, I promise I have still been watching some. I just haven’t had the time nor the energy to blog about them.
The Hitcher

The Hitcher is a remake of the 1986 classic, which I didn’t see. I actually found the movie quite entertaining. I am a big fan of the horror/thriller genre, and this was very satisfying. Some people argued that they should have explained better who John Ryder is and where he comes from, but I disagree. The whole point of the movie, and what makes Ryder so scary is that they (and we) don’t know where he comes from.
The Return

Surprisingly good movie. I like the ’supernatural’ theme it has. It is good to see Sarah Michelle Gellar in a movie that didn’t suck (I mean really, Harvard Man?) or only hear her voice in one of many she does for animations. The ending is absolutely surprising, I usually see things coming a mile a way, but not with this one (the last time I was not able to see the ending coming was with The Sixth Sense)
The Brave One

The plot, at points, is a little meh at times, but while watching you absolutely don’t give a flying fuck because you want Erica Bain to succeed. (I mean, really would a cop actually do what he did at the end? I don’t think so.)
Bug

Dear sweet Jesus; what the hell was that? That was just uncomfortable to watch, and not because of the bugs. Boring is all I say to describe this movie. The only thing that kept me going through the entire movie was the hope that Lynn Collins might show up again near the end.
War Of The Worlds 2: The Next Wave

What the hell? Not a good plot, bad acting and just horrible to watch, and that is not even counting the terrible special effects. What were they thinking?!
