The Way The Cookie Crumbles

If there is one thing that creeps me out, it is Unknown Callers that do not say anything when you actually do pick up the phone. I have recently fallen in to the habit of picking up on Unknown Callers after 6pm. As many of you know, I usually do not pick up on Unknown Callers at all.

Today I had two of those calls; one at 6am, which I did not pick up, and one at around 5:30pm, which I did pick up. The first one was just to damn early to pick up, and the second was just as I expected; another silent one. I said hello, but nothing was said back, just a lot of background noise.

I absolutely hate calls like this. Not to mention that they freak me out. I do not play well with being called all the time with no good reason. If it happens again I am going to call my provider and ask them to give me details on the caller, or, if they don’t know, get them to find out who the heck it is and if necessary will take action.

I spent the better half of the past two days deleting old, invaluable posts and creating a new layout for the site. It’s slightly, okay a lot more, colorful then it has ever been. I went with the cookie theme again and put it on the header. I might change the header around a little but I am keeping the cookie. I love it.

Wanted something completely different from all previous layouts and think I have succeeded quite well. I will be sifting through the site and delete some more stuff, organize the categories and now have added tags to the site as wel and it works too; for some reason they wouldn’t show up in the other layout so in the end I just didn’t bother putting them in the little tag box.

Had another one of those ‘unknown’ callers a day or so ago. I picked up and said hello. The first few seconds all I heard was noise, then I heard someone say hi. So I said hello again, and the entire time the background noise was just terrible. Then all of a sudden I hear, in English “I have been looking for you”. So I replied with a “Who’s this?” in English… they frigging hung up on me!

On one hand I didn’t mind that at all because the phone bill would be off the hook, butI would have wanted to know who the heck it was. It would explain the background noise though, if the call came from far far away.

Maybe I should call my provider and get them to find out who the heck it was.

I am going to bed now. I will write up some more stuff soon.

Yay for Nikki making it in the Top 12. My guess is she’s gonna win the entire thing (if people actually vote fair!)

Edit: The Top 12 is the idols Season 4 Top 12 in the Netherlands. They are the ones going on to the live shows.

Have you ever filled in a questionnaire hoping to win something as little as a gift certificate? I have. I enjoy doing those. You just fill in ‘no’ everywhere and be done with it, unless it is about something you really care about.

Having done many of those it is not rare that I get calls from the people I filled it out for. Had another one of those today.

Her “Hello, this is…. from…”
Me “Hi”
Her “You filled in a questionnaire a little while ago is that correct?”
Me “yes it is”
Her “in it you said you rent”
Me “yes I did”
Her “and you said you were interested in buying?”
Me “No I didn’t”
Her “Oh”
… silence …
Me “Ma’am?”
Her “Well oh okay, sorry for bothering you.”
Me “No bother at all”

I swear she was silent for a whole minute. Must be a newbie.
