A couple of days ago I reported that because of a scare I had a week or so ago, I had to pay a visit to the doctor to get my blood tested and do an ECG. After I had done so, they told me that I could call the doctor Thursday afternoon for the results.
I called the doctor Thursday afternoon, only to hear a machine talking that unless it was an emergency that I should call back the next day. Crap.
I called back the next day in the morning and the assistant told me that the Doctor would call me back during the Phone Hour, which is basically the doctor calling you back. She didn’t know when he would call back, but that he would.
Again I had to wait until afternoon before I finally got my call. The blood results were, despite the weight issue, very surprising to say the least. They tested Sugar, Cholesterol and (I believe) the Thyroid Gland.
It seems that everything is pretty much okay. Nothing was over the top or to much down. Both my LDL (low density lipoproteïne) and HDL (high density lipoproteïne) were good. My LDL was pretty much in the middle (can’t remember exact number) as long as I keep it that way and make it go down, it’ll be okay. My HDL could have a been a tiny bit higher according to the doctor, but it is not a risk at this moment.
Sugar and Glands and all that stuff was good as well. Like I said earlier, my blood pressure and heartbeat (from listening by ear) was good. Nothing to worry, so far, from that.
They did not have my ECG results back yet, but I am guessing that if there was something off about it they would have contacted the doctor about that already and he would have either contacted me or he would have told me on the phone.
