So the journey begins

Mark bought Harry Potter 7 this morning and just started reading. We already know what happens. He read the ending of the online version that started circulating. He could not keep his curiosity in check. Neither can I, I made him tell me.

I still need to read Harry Potter 6 (HP and the Half-Blood Prince). Going to do that tonight. I think. Not sure yet. When he finishes HP7 I can read it. We’re probably going to the newest movie as well. We’ll see.

It has been one hectic week for the both of us. We’ve been working to a Saturday for him to pick me up. Then it was a Friday evening, then it was Friday afternoon-ish. Time sped up a little faster then we thought it would.

He came by around 5pm yesterday, we immediately packed up all the stuff (which was quite a lot), and left after leaving my landlady a little note.

The drive was quite interesting; first Mark took a right when we actually should have gone left (which was partly my fault seeing as I don’t know shit about which way is left or right in my own damn town). We were followed the entire way home by some very dark clouds and even went through a little rain storm (or two really), tiny thunderstorm, well more lightening storm. I didn’t hear no thunder.

Once we arrived in Zaandam it was raining very heavily. One step out of the car and you’d be soaked all the way to your underwear. We grabbed Angel from the car and the groceries and walked up the steps to his house. Figured that we’d get the other stuff (my computer!) later.

I promised Mark I’d make him pancakes and started mixing it all together and started baking. Then the rain stopped. Of course it would. Asked Mark if it might be a good idea to grab some stuff from the car (my computer!) just to be on the safe side. Couldn’t care less about the TV (nicely sitting on the desk now though), but I need the computer for work.

So he said okay, in the mean time I’d finish up baking the pancakes. By the time he’d be back, I’d have the pancakes ready. The man didn’t just go down one time. He managed to get everything by the time I had finished cooking. First time I thought he’d just grab some of the easier lightweight stuff (like the clothing bag etc), but then he went back a couple more times!

Well for that I made him dinner, cleaned up, did the dishes, the whole shebang.

Of course once we had dinner we still had to move everything in the right place. We just cleaned up the stuff we needed to and would figure out a better place for everything the next day.

Let me tell ya, after that, we were beat! I had been cleaning house for the entire week before (though it is still a mess back in Breda), not to mention people kept asking me if I was nervous. For what exactly should I be nervous?

Flying? Been there, done that. Moving to another place? Been that, done that twice. Living with Mark? Oh please. The guy is like the second brother I wish my parents had.

Today we went shopping. We needed a bigger trashcan, I needed new flipflops (as much as I just adored the flower design, they were completely worn out), and whole ton of other stuff.

We still need to go back for some other handy stuff, but that’ll come another day. We were done, and completely exhausted (not to mention the hot but windy weather was wearing us down). When I get the chance I’ll make some pictures of Zaandam and put them online.

I’m gone now. Need to read HP6 so I can move on to book nr. 7 after Mark finishes.
